Since the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards(VGMA) started rewarding musicians for their talent, we have witnessed so many award winners.
However, there are some equally talented musicians who have never taken an award at that prestigious music platform.
Below is a list of some of these popular music celebrities.
1. Guru
He is known for his ‘Lapaz Toyota’ hit song. Recently, he got into a ‘beef’ with Lynx Entertainment signee Kuami Eugene.
His rants about the failure of the VGMA organization board to award him for his efforts, got him into the entertainment headlines but never changed the fact.
2. Trigmatic
Trig is a very good songwriter and singer who became popular after releasing a song titled ‘Life’. The well-composed hit song got him on so many music platforms but failed to give a VGMA award plague.
3. Suzzy And Mat
Suzy and Mat is one gospel music group that took over the music industry by storm.
Till date, they are still revered for their amazing songs but have never been offered an award at the VGMA feast.
4. Kwame A-Plus
A- plus was recognized for releasing controversial songs which usually revealed political secrets that were bothering citizens.
Aside his inability to win a VGMA award, he will always be respected for his creative talent.
5. Reggie Zippy
He came into the music scene with his ‘Virgin’ banger. After the release of this song, every Ghanaian fell in love with him.
However, the VGMA team had a different view which led to his inability to win an award on that platform.
