Biography Of Stephen Kwaku Asare

Stephen Kwaku Asare is a D&D fellow in Public and Justice at CDD-Ghana. He is the KPMG Professor at the University of Florida where he offers tuition in courses like forensic accounting, attestation, financial reporting, managerial accounting, controls and corporate governance.
Dr. Stephen Asare holds a PHD from the University of Arizona. He also holds an MBA from the Baylor University and a first class degree honors from the University of Ghana, Legon. He is a certified fraud examiner and a member of the Florida water.

Dr. Stephen Asare is well known in Ghana as a public intellectual and scholar activist whose contributions and activism are helping to push the frontiera of governance and rule of law, specifically in the area of constitutional law and practice.
Dr. Kwaku Asare’s researches focus on understanding and improving audit decision making. He is also interested in white-collar crime and governance issues in emerging democracies.

As an academic intellect, has received research funding from the America Institute of Certified Public Accountants(AICPA), International Accounting And Auditing Standards Board(IAASB) and the KPMG research foundation.
Dr. Stephen Asare has published a wide range of articles on accounting, psychology and law journals. He is co-author on the use of crìmìnal law to uphold the fiduciary role of public offìcers in Ghana. Currently, he is the editor of Journal of Accounting Literature.

As an academic expert, he has participated in management education programs for Price Waterhouse Coopers and received several teaching awards as a result of that.
