Classes Of Drivers’ License In Ghana

In acquiring a driver’s license, there are a few preferences you need to fall under before you can choose to apply for a drivers’ license in Ghana.
They include the following;
- You must be 18 years or more.
- You should have at least a JHS certificate, or you should have the option to peruse and compose.
- You must have a VISA photograph.
- You must have a 48 hour driving experience from a DVLA driving licensed driving school.

Currently, there are six types of drivers’ license in Ghana. They are;
Type A – Cruisers
This is the class of permit that is given to wheel vehicles that have no gearbox under them.
It is usually allocated to bicycle riders and other cyclists.

Type B – Minibuses, Cross-country Vehicles
This is the type of license offered to drivers of minibuses, cross-country vehicles and pickups.

Type C – Transports And Medium Products Conveying Vehicles
This type of permit is offered to transport and medium item vehicle drivers.

Type D – Transports, Mentors And Hefty Products Vehicles
This type of permit is offered to transport, mentors and substantial product vehicle drivers.

Type E – Agrarian, Earth-moving And Modern Gear
This type of permit is offered to drivers who can cruise a vehicle that contains passengers of about 65 with a maximum load of 350000 kilograms.

Type F – Transports, Mentors And Hefty Products Conveying Vehicles
This type of permit is offered to who operate hefty horticulture vehicles.
Vehicles that fall under this form of license include graders, trucks, loaders, rollers, forklifts and a large group of others.
